Dughall Mor

We are very lucky that we live in a beautiful part of the world, we go on some lovely walks and decided to take our affix from the name of somewhere we love. Dughall Mor is the name of the tallest tree in Britain and is situated in the most beautiful forest in Moniack, near Inverness.

The name means Big Douglas as the tree is a Douglas Fir. The forest is very old and parts of it seem almost enchanted, it's very pretty. My wee camera doesn't do it justice, this is one BIG tree!
We haven't been up there for a while, infact not since Rosie and Gabbi came to live with us, it is quite far to go for a relatively short walk, but we might manage a picnic up there one weekend, hopefully soon!
I can't remember if Alfie's been up there or not......if he has it would probably have been on a lead as he's not averse to a spot of deerhunting!

Liam and Snoop........this pair of posers never miss a photo opportunity! These roots are typical of what most of the forest looks like, though the pathways are well taken care of.
Parts of it are quite eerie, there are little waterfalls everywhere and benches where you can rest a while and appreciate the natural beauty of the place. We love our affix!

I was wondering where your affix came from

I would love to visit there -- we love to walk in the woods and it does sound enchanted, as you say! I had no idea where your name came from.
