Camera Critters: Eeeww and OMG!!

Disgustingly large jellyfish washed up at Rosieisle Beach last year, it was the size of a dinner plate....eugh!
Some say if you're stung you are supposed to wee on the area but my Father-in-Law was a fisherman for many years and he swears by Coca-Cola! I know which I prefer....now, which pocket of my dookers did I put that tin of Coke in.....?

Hey Angus....hows abouts these pee-khans then??

A collage of photos taken at Findhorn yesterday, gawd it was cold!

We get cool electric blue and purple jellyfish here - they wash up on the shore and then the purple flags go up at the lifeguard stations (hazardous marine life) ... vinegar is supposed to help, too, and make you smell like a salad! Better than smelling like a diaper!

Great photos!! I always wondered how to tell the sex of squirrels - your photo explains it explicitly!

I got stung once by a very colorful jellyfish. It had a bright purple tentacle that it wrapped around my ankle. It hurt like heck for about 3 hours and then went away. It's a shame I didn't know about the Coke a cola remedy!

may have been cold but looks like it was fun!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for stopping by my blog to share encouragement after hearing from Nala about the loss of my boy O'Reilly. I am very appreciative that you took the time so I wanted to take the time and say thank you.

The Jellyfish looks like something one of these dogs might have horked up!

And the squirrel, what a manly little gent!

Coca-Cola huh? Now I know....I hope I never get too close to one one those slimy things though. Mom was in the Florida Keys for Spring Break once and she saw a huge reddish one...the biggest one she had ever seen. Did you beagles get a sniff??

Kisses,
Nala

Oh what an ugly old jelly fish and as for the squirrel - well being young ladies we had to avert our eyes! Who ever would have thought?
Your beach collage looks crystal clear with lots of nice blues in the sea and sky - mum says you will have to watch out cos she is becoming insanely jealous of your beaches!!!

And we do not want to live near the beach anymore now! That critter is just yukky.
Lots of laughs and love from us!

We used to have a lot of jellyfish wash up on the beach when I lived in Myrtle Beach, but that one is the most ugly mess I've seen.

That jellyfish is disgusting! Oh, how I'd love to roll on it. Or try to eat it.
Mom says window cleaner with ammonia in it is good for jellyfish stings - or meat tenderizer.

What a big jelly fish. Not too much danger of them around here, LOL. As to the squirrel, we need to remind him to chew before he swallows! LOL

I wonder if the jelly is a Man o' War? It sort of looks like one. Blech! I'm sure that squirrel's had a bit of cosmetic enhancement-just sure!

whoa...guys.. you have got to have the biggest killer squirrels in the world... Ms.Persephone was impressed, she has been trying to nail one of those for awhile, ever since her mom, Ms.Blue, got the chipmunk (chip), she's been in training to catch the furry little rodents.
beeeUteafull pictures, we'd love to take a run on your beach any day.
enjoy,
