This morning we set off bright and early on the scenic journey to Fort William for the Lochaber & District CS open show. The weather was wet and cold on the way down and we thought we'd be in for a miserable day but by the time we got to Fort Augustus it was glorious sunshine.
When I say "we" I mean my son Liam, who insisted that he really wanted to come along....and announced that he was bored as soon as we got to the show.....he perked up once he located the hospitality table.....and Jodi, one of the Juniors from our club....she had her Cocker Spaniel entered but poor Molly had an upset stomach in the morning and couldn't come....Jodi came along for the day anyway. Hey Jodi, when is Molly getting a Blog? :o)
Despite not doing very well at the show we enjoyed our day, the venue is lovely and complimentary homebakes and drinks were on offer for exhibitors. We got a few photos from the show but the lighting isn't great and everything looks like it's been Tangoed so I won't bother posting them!
My camera doesn't do Ben Nevis any justice at all, it's the first time i've seen it and it is magnificent........trying to miss the Lidl store out of the frame was a bit of a challenge, we should have driven out of the town to take pictures but once we were on the road we really just wanted to get home and didn't think to stop after a couple of minutes!
On our way home we thought that Loch Ness looked stunning in the sunshine so we took some pictures there too.
No monster in there today!
