Beagadoon Premiére

Yesterday saw the much anticipated premiére of Beagadoon. The screening, which took place at Petey's Playhouse in New York City saw a truly international cast gather on the red carpet dressed in all their finery. Of course, the theme was very Scottish with most of the gentledogs donning traditional kilts while the ladies wore fabulous tartan gowns. (Whoa Rosie....easy on the eye make-up....you're not in a Maybelline ad! What's that? It's all natural? Hmmm..)

Petey and Rosie, whose whirlwind romance began just a few short weeks ago, looked every bit the happy couple, posing for photographs while chatting and joking with the press. Rosie wore the famous locket that Petey gave her after their first date in Bermuda.

Beagadoon has already been nominated for Best Post over at the Bone Zone, Petey's blog is up for the Awesome Blog Award and Petey also has a couple of nominations for Photo of the Month, why not head over there now to cast your votes!

It was strictly VIP access only to the after show party, no press allowed but this shot of Petey recovering this morning is proof enough that the celebrations went on into the wee small hours. May we suggest some hair of the dog?

Meanwhile, the Beagle family sleep off their jet-lag after their Aire Ruby flight landed at Inverness early this morning.

The now famous sisters prefer to soak up their favourite sunbeam indoors....

....while the boys relax outside on the bench.

We later caught up with them as they arrived at Roseisle Beach for a leisurely stroll. Alfie was quoted as saying he's very happy with the way he was treated on set and that he and Petey have cemented a firm friendship. Rosie is delighted with all the lovely reviews that have poured in for the production, initial critiques have been good. She also said that she is already missing Petey but is hoping to meet up again soon. Gabbi pointed out that in spite of her prominent role in Beagadoon she is still single....who knows what offers this statement may bring! Snoop, who usually has alot to say for himself, was not available to comment as his mouth was full of Bermuda Rum Cake!

The down to earth Beagles got back to normal pretty quickly by meeting up with old friends Honey and Mac.

In other news....strange goings on in the mythical land of Southern California as Dennis the Vizsla has been spotted with a new friend. Check out his post by clicking the link...it's very funny!

And on that bombshell we'd like to remind you that entries for the Red Snooter picture contest will close at **midnight (00:00 GMT)** on Monday 23rd March, so only 2 days left to get your snooter shots in! We already have some fantastic entries.....

Tomorrow....a lovely package arrived from those Golden Italian boys....we sent them one too which they have already posted on as their Mum is more organised than ours!

**Red Snooter closing date may be postponed a little if the Red Noses we sent out do not arrive in good time, we will keep you posted**

Ack! I hope my red snooter arrives by then! The postman delivered nothing yesterday and just a sample sale postcard today. Good thing I was out at the time or I would have bit him/her!

Rosie, the sight of you in your finery makes my wee heart skip a beat. I'm busy thinking of our next rendez-vous. We certainly can't wait for Myrna's wedding in Austria! Maybe a golf outing as the weather improves...I do like a well-turned dog leg!

Loads of heathery kisses,

Your Petey

I think most all of us DWB'ers are just royally proud of the cast and crew of Beagadoon. The above photo of Rosie and Petey is just dazzling.

Since the play was done stateside, it will probably be up for a Tony award as well.

Kisses,
Stella

Please don't apologize for not visiting! I am so far behind in visiting blogs because of gearing up for a big party here last night (45 people stuffed into my house). Hopefully, in the next few days I can catch up.

Today's photos are funny and adorable. I will read through more of the post tomorrow. Too tired now.

Talk to you soon!

A BIG THANK YOU FOR SUPORTING MY ADOPTION CAMPAIGN.
I have Beagle furends, but not as famous as Rosie.

Hi Beagles!
Good to see you're back here in Scotland. After the stunning success of Beagadoon I feared the fame might go to your heads (especially Rosie's) and we'd be losing you to the glamour of Hollywood.
Cheers, H.

AGH! No red snooter today. I'm gonna bite that royal mailman. He probably stopped for a nice cuppa and took his time. Grrrrr. Maybe I'll send the giant Mousie to get him!

Rosie, shall we plan a Spring getaway? I'm thinking we might want to go on a "Roman Holiday" in the near future...

Arrivederci baby girl!

Mwah, mwah (that's a kiss on each cheek, Italian-style)!

What a pawsome event that was! Me being a poor old country dog could only hope to one day be able to see such a grand affair! It looks like from some of the pictures that there was quite the merriment after the premiere! I hope you don't snub your adoring pawblic and give out lots of pawtographs!

Woofs and glamorous slobbers!
