Monochrome Monday: More From Pluscarden And Roseisle

If you want to be a Mono Maniac, visit Aileni's blog for Mr Linky!

Above: The old bothy at Roseisle. Below: A Roseisle sunset in mono.

Next some more images of Pluscarden Abbey and Priory Lodge.

Finally, Pluscarden Village (Parish?) Church.

**************************
Looks like Rosie's fate is sealed....for the forseeable future anyway....this week she has twice reminded us that she is a Beagle! On Wednesday evening we went for a walk in Findhorn and she took off into the gorse after rabbits, she was on the chase for over an hour but she is not known for her skills in stealth so we knew where she was and what she was doing.

On Friday at Roseisle she was a bit more adventurous....we had the beach to ourselves, tide was out, loads of space to run but little Miss Fussy-breeks still wasn't happy....she spotted something up on the dune and took off into the woods....she was gone for three hours and only returned to us when we turned the car's ignition and lights on. Little cow, what a fright she gave us....few more grey hairs for me! Apparently she told Hamish the Westie that she was looking for her Petey....aww!

So now she is on the dreaded long line until she is taken down a peg or two!

Lots of practise recalls and attention exercises....and treats....Alfie remembers the long line too, don't you boyo?

Gabbi is scared of this little wooden bridge....what a fruitcake!

Here is a message from Alfie:

He is saying....Mason Dixie, when are you coming to play with me on the beach? And stupid camera girl, turn the camera around, you always do that! And hurry and send your Red Snooter pics in everyone!

Wooo! lots of fun running! I am always on a lead too! I hate it, but Mom says if I don't come when called.....I love to go off after things and come back in a few hours, but for some reason, Mom gets mad.

Well..that got the cats attention. How cute and what a bad boy he was. Lovely photos and I wouldn't have thought of doing a sunset in mono, but it's lovely...

I came to see the mono and got up with those energetic dogs yet again. Monon sunrise and sunsets are so striking.

This is such a quirky blog - 4 dogs! I've never been up to Elgin way (usually only get as far as Aberdeen) but Pluscarden Abbey looks like some I'd really like to visit - I really like the close-ups of the chimneys on the roof.

Very fine monochromes.

Liked the idea of the monchrome with the Beagle in colour! Unable to say which Beagle right enough. Loved Alfie's message - he did look as though he had a lot to say.
As for Rosie well she is her aunt's neice!! That Bailey disappears and then saunters back as if to say 'what is the problem'!
Well I suppose hounds will be hounds - perhaps it was a whiff of Petey from over the pond! (It is a worry for the humans though!)
Once Petey arrives in Scotland for rehearsals it will get easier - then they can be off, as Marvin would say, "roamin in the gloamin".
Thanks for the email surprise.
love

I'm beginning to think that Petey has a bad influence on Rosie. Stupid dog! Gosh, you must have been scared.
Lovely backward shuffle Alfie is displaying. How does he stay attached to the wall like that? Related to Spiderman? ;-)

Oh, and wonderful monochromes ;-)

How awful for you....

I love the ruins, perfect for monochrome...

Then I am partial to an old ruin...:-/

Ah Rosie, I still get scared when I read about your solo adventure. Although you're certainly getting about well with that red line through every photo! (Please tell Carolina that I am certainly NOT a bad influence, even though I take the command "come" more as a suggestion.)

Can't wait to get to Scotland and start filming our scenes together...

Wiry snogs,

Your Petey

Beautiful photos!
And sorry, Rosie! You shouldn't scare your mom like that! We ALWAYS have to be on lead - sometimes even in our own fenced in yard. Something about not listening to Mom. I'm not sure; I wasn't listening. HA roo roo roo!

Thank goodness Rosie came back! Mischievious little thing isn't she?

Your heart must have been in your throat!! Three hours - I would have been a mess. The longest Freckles ever went MIA was a bit over an hour and I was dying inside over that.

I love your monochrome photos today! Amazing how dramatic it can look with the removal of color.

Thanks for sharing these glimpses of your day and of your beags!! Hopefully, Rosie will never scare you like that again.

I too have been behind on my blog reading AND MY POSTING! Even my photo blog has suffered a blip in the normal flow. Hopefully, things will get on an even keel soon. This week will be spent getting ready to entertain 45 or so people Saturday night. Boy, I'll probably have some great pictures after that!

Thanks for stopping by. You always remember to. Oh, the pups are doing well and thriving!

Wiry wags, Eric.

I'll send Mom back.. she is always taking vids the wrong way, still does but found a free prog to turn them!!She'll leave a linky.

How beaglish Rosie! Is it great to keep moms and dads on their toes.

Mum sayd that escaping is not nice to do. (BUT it is fun) Have you noticed that they plame that we give gray hear and I haven't seen single gray hear in mum. But it is better not run away, becouse mummy has the treets and you can travel with out leash.

Thank dogness Rosie came back ... I would never run away ... who'd feed me?!? Or cuddle me? Or give me treats like the Chief does.

Understandably, Rosie's in love ... ;)

That wooden bridge would scare me too! I won't walk on any of those wooden planks they put down in the city during construction. Too spooky!

I need some serious recall work too, and I'm also stuck on a lead. Good luck with your training! I have a feeling I'll be wearing this dang lead for life.

What a loud voice you have Alfie!! :)

If its any consolation to Rosie we alls be on long lines, unless we be in enclosed fields, cos we alls be so naughty!! Mummy say me and Hazel soon be ready for no lines, but Sophie Sis be very naughty so she will be a while yet!! These silly hoomans just don't get that us doggies need to go off and explore sometimes! They say they be worried about us when we go off, but I say they just wants to get home to puts the kettle on...silly hoomans!!
