SkyWatch Friday and Clive

Have you met our new friend Clive yet?

Clive here not only has a hairdo that would make Justin Lee-Collins jealous, he's a very special dog. Clive is a fully trained assistance dog who works with a boy who has autism, his Little Man.

Yesterday was World Autism Awareness Day. (Yes, we're running a day late for everything this week!) Not to worry though.....April is World Autism Awareness Month. Visit Clive's blog for more information about autism and useful links and click on the image above to be taken to the World Autism Organisation. Clive also had surgery yesterday to remove ingrown eyelashes but we are happy to hear that he is now home and recovering well :o)

Can you see what "she" was trying to do here? We have a feeling that she will persist with this....*sigh*....humans!

I like Clive! We have a boy like his boy and think an "assistance cat" might have been a better fit for him if they'd had such things at the time. Clive is a GOOD DOG!

Alfie, you've done it again. Mom thinks you're SO handsome!

Rosie Posie, are you back on the leash again? I thought we'd rigged an escape latch for you. (This is all Auntie Bailey's idea, isn't it? She's still reeling from the sight of us snuggling in the red blanket.) Which I must say, has been packed for the weekend away. It's a gorgeous place where we're going and I can be off leash for most of the weekend with a whole house to explore and six acres on which to chase tennis balls. AND car rides!!! It's the best. I'll get Mommy to take lotsa photos.

I'll be home on Sunday night with lots of kisses for your pretty (pink tennis ball-smeared) face!

Your Petey

That is a very neat trick to have all of them (almost) sitting on those wooden things (there is probably a word for those ;-)).
Great shots. And I'm definitely going to pop over to meet Clive.

Last week I saw a glimpse of a Dr. Phil program that was about an American lady who had a dogblog, in which she dresses up her dogs and photoshops a lot, and the question of her sons was: "Dr. Phil, is this normal?"
You don't want to know what the answer was, LOL!
I don't know why, but it so made me think of you, hehehehe.
And just for the record: I don't think there is anything wrong with being 'abnormal'.
Hugs ;-)

Hi Guys
We popped over to see Clive yesterday - very important work that dog does!
We loved you skywatch pictures - why do we all love to see the sun setting so much!
Now what is your mum doing - all standing in a line!
She expects too much - tell her you will just stick to zooming through the woods and beach capers.
Have a good weekend - keep an eye on Rosie for us.
love
Martha & Bailey xx

You're not thinking of sending the beags to the circus, are you Nicky? Those post shots remind me of tigers and lions being 'tamed'. You must have been just out of shot holding a chair and a whip!

Your friend Clive certainly sounds like a special dog. You should make a book of all your inspiring sky pictures - we love them. That last photo on the posts is priceless. I guess your mum will be working at getting you all to sit on them?

Hi Guys

First I want to say a big thank you for featuring me and Autism Awareness Day in your post today. We really appreciate it.

We have met some great new pals over the past few days thanks to Petey, Travis and you and the little man's mum is very touched and me too (of course!).

I'm still a bit shaky today - my eyes hurt a lot and the painkillers are making my tummy a bit sick.

Secondly, we want to say how lovely those photos are today and we love the photoshoot idea that your mum is trying to co-ordinate on the beach! Looks like a lot of patience will be required for that photo!

Thirdly, we know we won Supa Saturday on Travis's blog but you were a close second and just as equally deserved to win!

Finally, thanks again for your support and for helping to highlight autism and assistance dogs - we really do appreciate it!

Your friend
Clive

*criescriescries* Gabbi, I just seed your cruel rejection.... hehe, just kidding. I is a very easy going dog and I does not mind if you wants to choose Jake. Of course, I did not mind sharing you and on my visit to his blog I did notice that he was all infatuated with a leggy girl called Honey? Well, that seem a bit double standardy to me. BOL!
I is happy if you is happy with the terrier though, although I does think we would have made a nice couple. I was sharing both you and Kylie because she has her puggletine too. Ah well, I does have Morgan, but she been my friend since I was a very small pup and I thought that might be a bit weird. BOL!
Good luck with Jake Gabbi, and if you changes your mind I'll still be here and viewing your beautifullness.

Now as for today's post. Great sky shots, the sun look like a big jewel in the sky. Is Rosie working on that ball to send to Petey? What is your Mum trying to do getting you all in a line like that? It make a good piccure though, you is all good balancers, especially you Gabbi.

Wonderful story on Clive, we will have to visit his blog.
Now Snoop, remember, what happens at the rainbow room , stays in the rainbow room.
Mommy liked those beach pictures, at least Scampi and I don't match so we don't have to pose silly like that!

Gabbi,

Your mom sure has interesting ideas!!! What do you think? Will you all comply?

I just read Ludo's blog -- and there is no leggy "Honey" in my life -- not sure where he got that idea. Perhaps he was confusing my brother's crush on Princess Willow.

But none of us canines like to see other canines sad or hurt, so I'll talk with him gently. He and I have never spoken -- so in this special time of intergovernmental communication with our President and the world leaders at the G20, I'll open the door too.

Mom said I could write a nice post later -- you may be asleep over there -- but check it out in the morning.

Wirey kisses, sweetie!!!!

Jake

Pardon my fax paus dearest Rosie! It is unforgiveable what I suggested as to you wearing white at your April Fool wedding. I must stop this speed reading-I tend to run it all together and I apparently confused you with Lacie-whom I'm sure would have been flattered by my suggestion. Oh dear-what can I do to make up for my putting my paw in my mouth? I would never forgive myself if you would see fit to never comment to me again. Sleep will be lost until I hear from you.

Woofs and paw-in-mouth slobbers,
Chester

I've gone and done it again. I didn't even comment about how great I think Clive is. Not only is he a gorgous hunk of dawg but he has a pawsome heart to help his 2 legger. I am honored to meet him and I hope he feels better soon.
And the beagles on a stick picture is priceless even though it didn't all come together as your Mum planned.
**Never make it too easy on the 2 leggers-make 'em work for our cuteness, I say!

Woofs and friendly slobbers!

Nice sunsets and cute beagles. Pets are wonderful but since we travel a lot we don't have any. They hate it when there people go away.

Clive just goes to show how AMAZING dogs are; thanks for sharing his story! The sunset pictures over the water are stunning. Can't believe the Beagles wouldn't cooperate with your cute pose idea!! Is that Alfie with the tennis ball? Very cute! Happy Friday!

Wow, that Clive is a real cool guy! That's really great that he helps his person out like that! I"ll bet they make a great team!
That stump thing... I hope you're being rewarded with REALLY great treats. My mom tried to get me to pose on a rock - when I realized she didn't have any snacks, I made such an awful face, she had to hit "delete". Ha roo roo roo.
