Camera Critters, A Sunny Walk and A New Award

Not a great shot of this week's Camera Critter but we thought she was cute. On our walk yesterday we noticed this little kitty tucked up all cosy in a pile of leaves under the hedge. On the way back from our walk she was still there so we decided to investigate, see if we could get a sniff.......she woke up......and hissed at us! Mum had thought she was a kitten but when she woke up it looked like she had cataracts, aww! We're saying she cos she was so little!

....further along the hedgerow and into the field, yippee!

The turbines you see are the ones I wrote about before, the bases are painted, you can see them here.

It was such a clear, sunny day that you could pick out individual trees in the Culbin, see right over Findhorn Bay and beyond to Cromarty. Once again I wished I had a better camera but still ended up taking too many photos!

We have been given another award, this time from our new friend Nessa, she lives in Slovenia and has just started a blog about her and her friends, they have lovely photos and a cute cat, you should check them out :o) Thanks Nessa!

It's lovely to be chosen for an award but I always find picking a few blogs to pass awards onto really difficult (last time I was supposed to pick 8 and had to stop myself at 20!) so i've decided i'm not doing it anymore, it's so hard when you love all the blogs you read so I nominate ALL the blogs in my blog lists and if you want the award, please help yourself!

Hi Roseisle....we're back!

Yesterday was the first time we've been to Roseisle for two whole weeks! (our car fell ill on New Years Day) This is the first thing we saw when we got there....

Oh no Mum....what are we gonna do??

Come on guys, there's no time to waste!

Tree felling has already started, Alfie and Snoop get to work leaving pee mail on all the timber and newly churned earth while Gabbi barks at the big noisy machine- trust her to spot it through the trees! (Not sure why, but it's letting us view these collages enlarged when previous ones don't- weird, so enlarge for more detail!)

The zoomies....

This is our first glimpse of the sea for a fortnight, Mum went a bit o.t.t. with photos.....we couldn't get onto the beach though because....

....the tide was right in!

We also got a couple of videos....Mum thinks the sound is calming, but it gets us wound up....we love the beach....take us again today Mum, pleeeeeeeeze!

We're so over the snoozing....

After our mega-nap this morning we went for a walk to the Park and up the Hill, as you probably know already our Mum takes way too many photos, but she likes this collage thingy on Picasa so here's a collage overload from the photos she took today....
....first, the Park....

....then up the Hill....
The sunsets were taken in the Park, one on the way up the Hill and the second on the way home.
Some trees, personally we don't see the attraction, they're good for peeing on but she seems to like them.....spindly pine tree in Helge's Hole stretching towards the sun, gnarly old dude (larch?) and graffiti'd beech.

Was going to save this for Skywatch but it's like this almost every day anyway!

Of Haybales and Full Moons

Some photos from this afternoon's walk....we walked through the Park and up to the Muiry so they could run on the field.

This Horse Chestnut tree is one of my favourites, when the sun hits it like this it looks lovely, in the Summer it provides shade for picnicers and Mums to watch over their kids in the playpark, in the Autumn it drops enough conkers to keep all the kids in Forres happy (even though they're not allowed to play conkers at school anymore!), provides the dogs with somewhere to leave their mark and waste a good 10 minutes sniffing the base of it's huge trunk, it's also a favourite for climbing!

Onto the field and the zoomies take over....

The Beagles help with Skywatch Friday!
